Scope and objectives of the ReCH-MIE 2024 call for proposals

The 2025 campaign of the call for proposals for hospital clinical research projects dedicated to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases (AAP ReCH-MIE) has been launched by the Directorate General for Healthcare Provision (DGOS) of the French Ministry of Health and Prevention (MSP). Scientific steering is provided by the ANRS Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS MIE).

The scope of the Call for proposals ReCH-MIE 2025

This call for proposals aims to develop research in the field of emerging or re-emerging infectious diseases, covering any infection whose incidence has increased over the previous 20 yearsAll emerging or re-emerging pathogens are covered, including multi-resistant bacteria and fungi.

The objectives of the Call for proposals ReCH-MIE 2025

The ReCH-MIE call for proposals will fund clinical research projects dedicated to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases with the following objectives:

  • assessing the feasibility of an intervention aimed at improving patient care;
  • evaluating the safety, tolerability and efficacy of health technologies (e.g. all studies on drugs or vaccines from phase I to phase IV), as well as any other medical intervention.

In practice

Financement et sélection

For the 2025 campaign, the total amount available is €10,000,000. The maximum amount of funding requested for each of the projects submitted to this call for proposals is free.

The ANRS MIE is responsible for organising the selection of projects. The selection of projects under the ReCH-MIE call for projects will be carried out in two stages:

  • Stage 1, pre-selection: applicants submit letters of intent;
  • Stage 2, selection: applicants whose letters of intent have been selected in stage 1 submit a full dossier including a presentation of the project’s structure and project.

Schedule

  • Step 1  for pre-proposal (letter of intent) : 22 September 2025 to 17 November 2025 at 11:55 p.m.
  • Step 2 for submission of complete proposal : 1 February 2026 to 30 April 2026 at 11:55 p.m.
