Paris, December 8-9, 2025
From 08 to 09 December 2025
EPICONTACTS2025 aims to bring together researchers and data producers to advance the use of social contact data in infectious disease modelling. The program will feature a training session targeted to early-career researchers and scientific sessions with presentations from invited speakers showcasing recent advances and methodological innovations in the field.
Topics cover alternatives to standard survey-based matrices, synthetic data generation, contact reconstruction from digital or behavioural sources, and the design of enriched matrices incorporating dimensions beyond age. The workshop will also provide opportunities for discussion between modelers and institutions collecting data that could be used to inform modeling frameworks.
Through a mix of education, discussion, and interdisciplinary engagement, this workshop seeks to strengthen the foundations and future directions of contact-based epidemiological modeling in Europe.
The workshop is part of the activities of the Working Group “Accounting for individual behaviors in models of epidemic dynamics” of the French Infectious Disease Modeling Network (Action Coordonnée “Modélisation des Maladies Infectieuses”) of the ANRS MIE
