Arbo-France network Scientific Conference

The 4th Arbo-France Scientific Conference will take place on 2 and 3 February 2027 at the Pasteur Institute in Paris.

From 02 to 03 February 2027

Main points

  • Operating under the auspices of the ANRS MIE, Arbo-France is a French multidisciplinary network dedicated to monitoring, surveillance and research into arboviral diseases affecting humans and animals.
  • The network aims to facilitate preparedness for and response to arbovirus outbreaks in mainland France and the overseas territories.
  • The Arbo-France network’s 2027 Scientific Conference will take place in a hybrid format.
  • Registration will open shortly

Research into arboviruses in France: from clinical research to fundamental mechanisms

Arboviral diseases: a growing public health concern

Against a backdrop of the spread of vectors linked to climate change, urbanisation and increased mobility, France and its overseas territories are not immune to arboviral diseases.

The regular emergence or re-emergence of these infections (dengue, chikungunya, Zika, West Nile, etc.) highlights the need to strengthen surveillance, prevention and patient care.

In the face of these challenges, research must be based on an integrated approach, ranging from understanding the molecular mechanisms of infection to studying the determinants of transmission within populations. This involves, in particular, the establishment of cohorts, genomic databases and innovative tools, in order to better assess risks and guide public health strategies.

The Arbo-France Scientific Days: the annual gathering of arbovirus experts

The Arbo-France network brings together a panel of French scientific experts dedicated to monitoring, surveillance and research into arboviruses affecting humans and animals.

The 2027 Arbo-France Scientific Conference will provide an overview of the current state of research:

  • The first day will be devoted to cohort studies and their implementation,
  • The second day will focus on the determinants of arbovirus transmission, ranging from molecular to population-based approaches.
