The CATRIEM consortium launches a call for proposals

Last updated on 26 February 2024

The essential

The aim of this Call for Proposals is to identify new projects designed to consolidate the first stages of development and transform these inventions into the first proofs of concept.

The CATRIEM consortium

The “Consortium d’Accélération et de Transfert pour la Réponse aux Infections Emergentes et aux Menaces” (CATRIEM), winner of France2030’s call for proposal, aims to :

  • Increase the financial support for high-potential innovation projects at an early stage
  • Accelerate innovation in the context of the National Strategy to Accelerate Emerging Infectious Diseases and Nuclear Threats (SA MIE-MN)

The consortium’s ambition is to select innovative, internationally competitive projects aimed at developing medical products (therapeutic agents, diagnostic tests, etc.) or non-medical products (protective equipment, disinfecting agents, etc.) in order to be better prepared for future epidemics and biological threats.

The consortium is currently made up of 24 members including research organisations, technology transfer offices, universities, and university hospitals. The CATRIEM Consortium is coordinated by 2 lead partners: Inserm Transfert for early-stage projects and SATT Pulsalys for more mature projects.

Call for Proposal

CATRIEM is launching this Call for Proposals for ambitious new projects for Emerging Infectious Diseases (EIDs) to generate results, data or tools that could be used for the development of medical or non-medical countermeasures.

This call is open to the entire scientific community (researchers, engineers, clinicians, etc.) of French public research establishments and hospitals wishing to develop research work (TRL 2 to 6) that are relevant for the development of countermeasures.

This call is open since February 2, 2024
