Workshop on Modelling tools for vaccination

24 March 2025

L’essentiel

The Coordinated Action on Infectious Disease Modelling of ANRS MIE organises a scientific day for researchers and public health professionals on the theme of “Modelling tools for vaccination”.

It will take place on March 24th, 2025 at Sorbonne University in Paris and online.

Workshop programme

Through presentations by modellers, researchers in biological, medical or human sciences, and public health practitioners, this workshop will be the occasion to discuss the various aspects of vaccine development, vaccine strategies and efficacy assessment for which mathematical modelling can provide original insights that complement biomedical approaches.

The day will open with speeches by Yazdan Yazdanpanah (Director of the ANRS MIE), Rodolphe Thiébaut (University of Bordeaux) and Eric Quéméneur (Head of the France Vaccin programme), with an introductory presentation by Yves Lévy (Vaccine Research Institute).

The following themes will be covered:

  • Pre-clinical vaccine development
  • Clinical vaccine development
  • Viral evolution and impacts on vaccines
  • Efficacy assessment in populations
  • Decision support for vaccine strategies
  • Vaccine hesitancy and social issues around vaccines
