The essential
With the emergence, in April 2022, of a new form of acute hepatitis of unknown origin that mainly affects children under 10 years of age in several countries worldwide, ANRS Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS MIE) has activated a Level 1 Outbreak Response Unit.
This includes:
- conducting a watch of the scientific literature and news,
- holding expert meetings to review ongoing research and identify research priorities should the epidemic intensify.
