Main points
- The European Partnership for Pandemic Preparedness (BE READY), coordinated by ANRS MIE, will begin on 1 January 2026.
- To mark the occasion, an official launch ceremony will be held on 17 February 2026 at Urban Station-Espace du Centenaire, Paris, France.
The aim of this ceremony is to take stock of the foundations laid together since 2022 and to look ahead to the Partnership’s major initiatives, which are scheduled to begin as soon as 2026.

BE READY in brief
This ten-year Partnership, with a total budget of €240 million, forms part of the European response to future epidemics and pandemics. Its objectives are:
- To strengthen the funding and coordination of research priorities among European and Associated countries;
- To accelerate the acquisition of knowledge on emerging infectious diseases;
- To support the development of medical countermeasures and innovations (vaccines, treatments, diagnostics).
It also provides for the establishment of a research infrastructure ecosystem, including a European ever-warm clinical research network designed to support epidemic preparedness and response.
Its first three-year phase brings together 81 partners from 27 countries, mobilising €118 million, half of which is provided by the European Union’s Horizon Europe research funding programme.
