Strengthening preparedness for health crises

Against a backdrop of growing threats from emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), this initiative responds to the need to strengthen preparedness and improve coordination between scientific, industrial and institutional stakeholders.

The ID360 platform aims to:

• Develop a dynamic mapping of research and innovation projects;
• Identify available expertise, infrastructures and operational capacities;
• Facilitate collaboration between academic, clinical, industrial and institutional stakeholders;
• Support strategic planning and decision-making by public and private stakeholders.

An initial exploratory phase is currently underway, including international benchmarking, the development of functional and technical specifications, and a feasibility assessment.

This public–private partnership forms part of broader national and European efforts to strengthen preparedness for and response to health crises.

It builds on the complementary strengths of the two partners:

• ANRS Emerging infectious diseases (ANRS MIE) contributes its scientific expertise, its in-depth knowledge of the academic and institutional landscape, and its coordinating role at the national level.
• IDCluster brings together the innovation ecosystem in the fields of emerging infectious diseases (EIDs) and antimicrobial resistance (AMR), working closely with industry and clinical stakeholders.

Over the next two years, the ambition is clear: to provide France with a strategic platform that will accelerate the development of innovative, high-impact public health solutions and strengthen the country’s long-term capacity to anticipate and respond to health crises. In the longer term, the platform could also be extended to other European Union countries.
