France has launched its new global health strategy (2023-2027)

This new strategy is the roadmap for all French parties involved to meet the challenges of global health: achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 3 for the health and well-being of people at all ages. The aim is to defend universal access to health, prevent and combat diseases and pandemics, promoting the "One Health" approach.

Ambitions

This new strategy aims to unite around five ambitions:

  1. Contribute to achieving the goals of sustainable development, in particular SDG 3
  2. Reduce inequalities in health by working on all its social and environmental components
  3. Strengthen the “One Health” approach to better prevent and prepare for future global health crises and emergencies
  4. Take into account climate change impact on health and the environmental footprint of healthcare systems
  5. Promote French values, expertise, research, skills, innovations and partnerships
