Symposium "Modelling sexually transmitted infections (STIs)"

Organised on 5 April at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) in Paris by CA Modélisation

The essential

The “STI modelling” working group of the ANRS MIE Coordinated action “Modelling infectious diseases” is organising a symposium on 5 April at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM) in Paris, with the aim of bringing together all the parties involved in STI modelling (scientists, institutions and associations).

Sexually transmitted infections exert a high burden on populations and modelling their dynamics is essential to guide the elaboration of public health policies. This symposium aims to bring together all those with an interest in modelling STIs in France, whether they be scientists (researchers from the CNRS, INSERM or universities), institutions (public health agencies) or associations.

Presentations are open to human STIs (such as HIV, hepatitis, gonorrhoea, mpox, HPV, herpesviruses, etc.) approached using different modelling techniques (mathematical, statistical, numerical), at different scales (population, within-host, within-cells) and with different focus (scenarios of spread, econometrics, evolutionary dynamics, parameter inference, interventions comparison, etc.).

A website has been set up to manage registrations (free but mandatory).

THE DAY’S PROCEEDINGS

In addition to the guest lectures, slots are available to present French research teams or, more traditionally, research projects. Presentations will be selected on the basis of abstracts submitted. A closing discussion session will also be organised.

Scientific facilitation groups

Our agency brings people together within a variety of groups, such as Coordinated Actions (CAs), workgroups and sub-groups, networks, and task forces.
