Following the 20 September 2022 declaration by the Ugandan health authorities of an epidemic of Ebola virus disease caused by the Sudan strain (SUDV), ANRS Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS MIE) has activated a level 1 Outbreak Response Unit.
This includes:
- conducting a watch of the scientific literature and news,
- holding expert meetings to review ongoing research and identify research priorities should the epidemic intensify.
