What is the ANRS CO4 FHDH cohort?

  • The ANRS CO4 FHDH (French Hospital Database on HIV) cohort is a French multicentre hospital cohort* of people living with HIV, wich included patients since 1989
  • The hospital database on HIV infection is based exclusively on the secondary reuse of data already collected in clinical departments via the DOMEVIH (medical and epidemiological HIV file) software, owned by the Ministry of Health, or via a local computerised medical file. The cohort is under Inserm responsibility
  • ANRS CO4 FHDH received an authorisation by CNIL to use data from the FHDH database for research, study and evaluation purposes
  • The cohort is currently coordinated and managed by the Pierre Louis Institute of Epidemiology and Public Health (iPLesp, Inserm, Sorbonne University)
  • It is funded by Inserm and ANRS-MIE

*nearly 180 hospitals throughout France, including overseas departments and regions and overseas collectivities

2023 Report on indicators of care for people living with HIV in COREVIHs in France

Data from the ANRS CO4 FHDH cohort, together with data from the ANRS CO3 AQUIVIH-NA cohort, contribute to prepare the report on indicators of care for PLHIV over the age of 18 in COREVIHs in France. The 2023 report presents a detailed analysis of data between 2019 and 2023. It includes:

  • The number and characteristics of new patients receiving care
  • The proportion of patients receiving care at an advanced stage
  • Changes in the number of active cases monitored
  • Indicators of antiretroviral treatment and virological response
  • Regional data by COREVIH and for the Île-de-France region
