Emergences PRFI 2024 call for projects

The essential

For the third consecutive year, the ANRS MIE is launching its “Emergences PRFI” call for projects, aimed at supporting collaborative research projects between French teams and research teams based in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).

This call targets projects focused on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, particularly :

  • viral hemorrhagic fevers,
  • respiratory viruses,
  • and arboviruses.

It encourages scientific collaborations aiming to have a significant impact in these regions, with projects covering areas such as fundamental, translational, and clinical research, public health, and social sciences.

Full research projects, as well as research grants for PhD and postdoctoral students, are eligible.

The duration of projects is limited up to 36 months.

Calendar

  • Submissions must be made via the Apogée platform, with the application period running from December 12, 2024, to March 12, 2025.
  • Results will be notified starting in July 2025.

  1. the complete Terms of reference for the call for projects
  2. the word template to be used to submit your scientific project proposal (with or without a request for an associated research grant). The document should be submitted on Apogée, using the AAP FLASH form. If a request for a research grant is associated with the project, it must be non-nominative and included in this document under the dedicated heading. Its cost will be included in the overall project budget under the HR heading.
  3. the word template to be used to submit your scientific proposal for a research grant not associated with a project. The document should be submitted on Apogée, using the FLASH RESEARCH GRANT form. Applications for research grants not associated with a project must be submitted by name.
