Last updated on 26 July 2024

The essential

The 2024 call for proposals for hospital clinical research projects on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases (ReCH-MIE), which covers research applied to healthcare and healthcare supply, is due to open soon.

Scope and objectives of the ReCH-MIE 2024 call for proposals

The 2024 campaign of the call for proposals for hospital clinical research projects dedicated to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases (AAP ReCH-MIE) has been launched by the Directorate General for Healthcare Provision (DGOS) of the French Ministry of Health and Prevention (MSP). Scientific steering is provided by the ANRS Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS MIE).

The scope of the ReCH-MIE 2024 call for projects

This call for proposals aims to develop research in the field of emerging or re-emerging infectious diseases, covering any infection whose incidence has increased over the previous 20 years. All emerging or re-emerging pathogens are covered, including multi-resistant bacteria and fungi.

The call covers research applied to care and care supply.

The objectives of the ReCH-MIE 2024 call for proposals

The ReCH-MIE call for proposals will fund research projects dedicated to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases, with the following objectives:

  • Measuring the effectiveness of healthcare technologies. With this objective in mind, priority will be given to research that contributes to obtaining high-grade recommendations, i.e. based on a high level of scientific evidence;
  • Assessing the safety, tolerability and efficacy of health technologies in humans (for example, all studies on medicinal products from phase I to phase IV);
  • Assessing the feasibility of an intervention aimed at improving patient care.
