As part of the ‘Emerging infectious diseases and nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical threats’ (SA MIE MN) acceleration strategy, supported by France 2030, the PEPR MIE supports research into emerging infectious diseases.
Following the success of the calls for projects launched in 2023 and 2024, which respectively funded 11 projects for €22m and 9 projects for almost €16m, the ANRS MIE is announcing the launch of a new call for projects in 2025.
Scheduled for the beginning of May and open for two months, this call will be launched under the three core themes of the PEPR MIE:
This track will aim to strengthen prevention, preparedness and response capacities in the face of future health crises, focusing on the priority emerging infectious diseases identified in the 2024 call: respiratory viruses, viral haemorrhagic fevers and arboviruses. The expected projects should adopt an interdisciplinary approach and contribute to advancing research in the service of public health.
The call for applications is open from 2 May to 30 June 2025.
2025 call for proposalsThe 2025 call for projects is complementary to the call for applications from the PEPR MIE launched on 17 April 2025, aimed at supporting young researchers wishing to establish themselves permanently in a research laboratory and develop their teams and themes around emerging infectious diseases. This initiative will enable talented young people to strengthen their scientific careers while contributing to the advancement of knowledge and innovation in this priority area.
